If you read home/DIY/decorating blogs very often, then you’ve probably heard a lot of us ranting and raving about how much we love Fall.
No one usually puts their face that close to the base of the tree anyway.Well, except the cat drinking the tree water everyday.. Here’s how I did it!.

First, buy yourself a nice $10 Christmas table cloth.. Then….Once you’ve cut out the center part where the tree will go, cut a line towards the outside of that “skirt” so that you can easily drape it around the base of the tree.. Can you guess the last step?.Get out the hot glue!

Seal up all your cuts with a line of hot glue so you don’t get any fraying. As I said before, no one’s going to have their face that close to the base of your tree anyway.

You can’t see the middle part because it’s covered by all those pretty, green branches..
So that’s how I got myself a tree skirt this year!Just 15 or 16 passes with a rag and some soapy water and we were good to go!
Spidies and spidey webs are no match for a girl with an idea that involves her house..I actually didn’t really know what to do with it, but I knew I wanted to look at it all the time, so I stuck it in the dining room for now with a little twine garland.
It works.. We think this may have originally been in the back wall of our garage, which is now covered up and a solid wall. One day, when we build our new 2 car garage/workshop, we plan to keep our old garage as a little outdoor entertaining building and install french doors off the back out to a deck over-looking the creek.
