Like Summer 2011.

Paint is almost always the answer. In fact, I’ll let you in on a little secret.

When 2014 started, I decided that this was going to be “the year of paint”.I knew I wouldn’t have much time on my hands with the baby in the house, but with paint I knew I could still do lots of little projects that would make me feel so much better about my surroundings almost instantly. It turned out that I held true to the “the year of paint” thing, and earlier this Fall I partnered with CIL to visit a bunch of Home Depot stores and meet with customers to help them choose their perfect paint colours..

When CIL contacted me again this Holiday season to see if I wanted to come up with a fun little paint project to share, I knew just what I would do.You saw last week in my Holiday.

that we just got some new living room furniture.

Well, we have this little table that now looks so sad next to all of the furniture. No matter what your budget is, changing the colors in a room with paint is one of the most powerful DIY design tools that you have and it’s available to practically anyone who’s interested.

What’s more, you can feel free to let your creativity takeover and change things up whenever you feel like it, and with very little cost involved. Some of my best paint-based room makeovers have happened using a $15 can of recycled paint and dollar store brushes.

So for me, it’s almost really just a matter of principle. If you have perfect brushes, then chances are that you’re going to want to keep them perfect.
